D.O.B. 7/29/2013  (6 yrs)

Huacaya, Female, Unproven | Dark Brown

5/8 Peruvian, 3/8 Chilean
Sire: Silver Spoon Viola | ARI# 31838245  | Medium Rose Grey
Dam: Rockford Arctic Mist | ARI# 31753104  | White, Light Fawn, Medium Fawn

Named after the strong, richly hued timber, Rosewood has gorgeous, pure, dark brown fleece and is already promised to be superb like her ancestors before her.

As proven below, with this female, comes color, & lots of variety as well. Nowadays, there are so many breeding opportunities, making endless possibilities for her offspring’s color, etc.

Rosewood's dam - ROCKFORD ARCTIC MIST - has fleece full of lingering fineness, staying at 17 microns, even at her 3rd shearing. Not only is her fleece superb, but she is sired by award-winning Accoyo SNOWMASS SNOW LEGEND, who had a cashmere-like fleece of 14.4 micron count in 2004 and a lingering fineness bringing 20.8 microns at 9 years of age. He represents the greatness of his sire & grandsire (Snowmaster & Snowmass IncaAccoyo Star), with an additional brightness, luster & highly expressive crimp making an unbelievable fleece on this true Champion.
Her dam - WHIRLWIND'S FALINE - had an outstanding micron count of 21.6 at 6 years of age, and carried on the Vicuna color trait from her dam - Arlene Francis. Faline also has wonderful density and luster, which is to be expected, being the daughter of well-known Champion Wooded Hills Winston, a MEDIUM SILVER GRAY male with exquisite fleece.

Rosewood's sire - SILVER SPOON VIOLA - is packed with genetics and fleece. Not only sired by the well-known Snowmass Peruvian Casanova (sire of Snowmass Nova), but also a proud grandson of Aussie Rockford, you also see Peruvian Bueno, Fantasy's Gremlin, and Accoyo Pperuvian Felix!! Talk about color and fleece!!!

We are excited to see if Rosewood's fleece remains dark brown, or grows sprigs of gray as well. Whatever the case, this girl is to good to pass on!!! All offers considered.
